Mystery Detective

Open clues to find the culprit among 4 suspects. A higher total over 3 cases ranks higher.

Controls Goal: in 3 burglary cases, work out which of the 4 suspects is the culprit and earn the highest total score. Controls: tap a hidden evidence folder to open it and a clue about the culprit unfolds; suspects that do not fit are crossed out (the evidence shows who it cleared). You must open at least 2 pieces of evidence before you can accuse; press a candidate card Accuse button, then when it changes to Really this one? press it again within 3 seconds to accuse (a guard against slips). Suspects who have been cleared cannot be accused. Score and ranking: each case gives 100 - 15 x (evidence opened) points if you are right (minimum 10) and 0 if wrong; the total of the three cases is the record, higher is better. The maximum is 210, solving all three with 2 pieces of evidence. Time does not matter so there is no pause. Tip: keep opening evidence until one suspect is left and you are always right (the evidence is hidden so which one you open does not matter, and this is practically the best approach). If you guess with two candidates left you are right only half the time, so weigh that against the 15 points an extra piece of evidence costs. Every clue is a true statement about the culprit, and some say someone is not the culprit.
