Elevator Operator

Carry passengers to their floors with two elevators. Delivering more ranks higher.

Controls Goal: use the two elevators of a 6-floor building to deliver as many passengers to their destination floors as you can. Controls: on the left you see the passengers waiting on each floor (with an arrow to their destination). Tap a floor row to automatically send the elevator best suited to that floor (one already heading there, then one with room, then the nearer one). You can also tap a floor cell in column A or B to send that exact elevator to that floor, and tapping a floor already on its list moves it to the front. On stopping, the doors open, riders get off, and waiting passengers board up to 4. A rider's destination is added to the stops list automatically (shown in yellow), and elevators move one floor per second. Scoring: a passenger who waits 25 seconds leaves and costs a heart (waiting passengers turn from yellow to red and blink near the limit), and the game ends when all 3 hearts are gone. Your score is the number of passengers delivered, higher is better, and there is a pause button. Tips: call the floors with urgent (red) passengers first, but keep riders going the same way in one elevator. The tests' good policy (nearest elevator to the most urgent floor) survives tens of minutes without losing a heart and delivers about 0.7 passengers per second. Scores above 300 are not recorded.
